Reporting a calculator or content error
Before reporting a discrepancy, check that the tax year, vehicle specification and Income Tax rate match the figures you are comparing. P11D value and purchase price are easy to mix up.
A useful report includes:
- The affected page and the date you used it.
- The tax year, P11D value, fuel type, CO₂ figure and relevant electric range.
- Whether you selected private fuel, contributions or part-year availability.
- The result you received, the result you expected and an official source explaining the difference.

Help with your own tax or payslip
For a personal PAYE code, payroll deduction or P11D query, start with your employer’s payroll team. They can check the benefit reported for your vehicle. For official help, use HMRC’s Income Tax contact guidance.
We cannot access HMRC records or amend a tax code. Do not include National Insurance numbers, tax account credentials, bank details, payslips or home addresses in a general website error report.
Privacy and accessibility queries
The privacy policy describes what the current calculator does with your inputs and the hosting information that still needs confirmation. A controller contact route must be provided before public launch.
For an accessibility report, note your browser, device, the page and the action that was difficult. A description is enough; avoid screenshots containing personal financial information.
